Pilates is a great way to condition the body, and maintain flexibility, strength, balance, stability and mobility. The Pilates method focuses on quality over quantity.

Make a commitment to do a few exercises each day and you will soon see the difference in the way you move.

Training

Karen Toth studied under Susan Greskevitch and Margot McKinnon at Body Harmonics, Toronto, Ontario. Certified through The Physical Mind Institude Karen's Certification includes over 400 hours of training on Mat, Ball, and Pilates equipment such as Cadillac, Reformer and Wanda Chair.

Karen was accepted for the Feldenkrais course in San Raffel, CA, November 2004. Her life and teaching skills continue to be enhanced making for even better classes.

Karen became a certified Anat Baniel Method (sm) Practitioner as of February 11, 2007.

As of November 11 2007, she is a certified Anat Baniel Method (sm) for Children Practitioner.

Karen became a Bones for Life® student in October 2007.

Karen became a Guild Certified Feldenkrais Practitioner February 2008

Karen is a Certified Anat Baniel Method (sm) for Vitality and Anti-Aging Practitioner May 2008

The History Behind Stretch Your Life

Stretch Your Life is owned by Karen Toth, Pilates Certified 2000, Anat Baniel Method (sm) Practitioner 2007, Awareness Through Movement® teacher.

Always interested in new exercise routines, Karen took a workshop in Pilates in 1998. This led her to a full day workshop a few weeks later where she found teachers with whom she wanted to study.

From the beginning she was captivated by something Joseph Pilates said:

"if there is pain, there is no gain."

As Pilates began to transform her life, Karen decided to become an instructor. Since then, life has been an exciting mix of coaching and training.

The next logical step was to open her own Pilates studio. This dream was realized in April 2005. The studio now offers a range of Pilates Private, Semi-private and class sessions. The studio also offers Yoga classes, Anat Baniel Method Functional Synthesis (sm) sessions and Feldenkrais®classes.

Associates

Marion Harris, founder of the Feldenkrais Centre, is one of Canada's foremost Feldenkrais practitioners. Certified in 1983, she is one of the privileged few to have studied under Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais and has maintained a full-time practice since then. Marion has developed a special "Feldenkrais for Yoga" program, and has over 30 years experience in the broader fields of yoga, stress management, and health training. Marion's current teacher training is in Bones for Life (R). Karen plans on taking the Bones for Life course and start teaching by January 2008.
